Bigger and Better a game where you start with something small and walk around trying to trade up for something bigger and better.
For example last night a group of youth and I grabbed some Dollar Store streamers from my office and headed out into the neighborhood. We eventually traded the streamers for two JUMBO Party Bags, then followed it up with a pink ballerina dress, then a book, then a couple of work shirts, a couple of fans, a skateboard deck, a new sweater and Justin Bieber CD, and eventually we somehow ended up with an old TV and a cellphone!
Ridiculous game, YES! A purpose, Absolutely. It is relational. It is a chance to walk around and talk with one another, you get to lift heavy stuff together. Its awesome.
Never underestimate the power of doing something silly. It can reap huge rewards.
